Obituary of Natalie Sue Blumenthal

Natalie Sue Blumenthal (nee Spiegel) passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her Lake Hiawatha home surrounded by her loving family. She was 77. Born in New York, NY, Natalie was proud of being raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. Following her marriage, she and her husband Bob had lived in Brooklyn, and Queens, NY, before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1973. Mrs. Blumenthal had worked with the New Jersey Y Camps (YM-YWHA) of Fairfield, NJ for over 35 years until recently becoming ill. She was a member of the former Lake Hiawatha Jewish Center of Lake Hiawatha and Temple Beth Shalom of Boonton, and had been active in the Hadassah of Parsippany. A beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Natalie was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob Blumenthal; three sons, Glenn Blumenthal of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Jonathan Blumenthal and his wife, Eve of Westlake, TX, and David Blumenthal of Ramsey, NJ; a sister, Paulette Spiegel of Emerson, NJ; her three grandchildren, Paul, Zoe, and Mason Blumenthal, and many cherished friends from all aspects of her life. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 23, 12:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus. For those so desiring, the family would be most grateful for memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society (http://cancer.org) in Natalie's memory. The family will observe the period of mourning at Natalie's late residence on Tuesday following the interment until 8:00pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
