Obituary of Jay Alan Cohen

Jay Alan Cohen passed peacefully away Sunday morning, October 16, 2022 at Canterbury Village at West Orange, NJ. He was 84.

 

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he had lived in Plainview, NY and Montville, NJ before moving to Fort Lee, NJ.

 

Mr. Cohen served in the United States Army during peacetime.

 

He earned his Bachelors Degree in business from Adelphi University.

 

An entrepreneur, My Cohen had owned various printing firms, most recently Rush Index Tabs of East Rutherford, NJ.

 

Survivors include his loving children, Randi Bennett of Pine Brook, NJ, Mitchell Cohen of Yorktown Height, NY and Scott Cohen of Maine; eight cherished grandchildren; one great grandson; and the love of his life, his longtime companion Roz with whom he lived in Fort Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Florence (nee Cruminsky) Cohen, and his siblings, Doris and Norman Cohen.
