Obituary of Joan D. Trecartin
Joan Dalzell Trecartin of Montville, peacefully passed away on January 9th 2023 at the age of 90.
Joan was the daughter of Frances and Robert Warren Dalzell of Montclair where she grew up and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. Joan then attended Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington, DC.
Joan met her loving husband John of 68 years at Elm-Tre pool in West Caldwell, NJ where they lived most of their life and raised their family.They spent many winters at their home on Hutchinson Island in Florida. They moved to Montville in 2005.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, John S. Trecartin in 2019; her son, Scott E. Trecartin in 2022 and her brother, Robert Dalzell in 2012. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie DeVito and her husband Vincent of Fairfield, NJ and Valerie Haimson and her husband Jeffrey, of Montville, NJ; a son John Mark Trecartin, of Florham Park, NJ; a sister, Diane Cahill of TX; 11 grandchildren, PJ and wife Monita, Jaime and husband Louis, Brittany, Tiffany, Jake, Abby, Mandi, Scott, Brianna, Dillon, Devon; 3 great-grandchildren Ella, Mikenna and Kaylee.
Arrangements were held privately and were entrusted into the care of S.J.Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Joan was laid to rest in the Our Lady of the Mignificat Parish Mausoleum, Kinnelon.
