Obituary of Tomasa Orama

Tomasa Orama Acevedo passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, January 17, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 105.

 

Born and raised in Aguada, Puerto Rico, Tomasa lived most of her life there before moving to Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ following the passing of her husband in 2012. She was currently a resident of the Cedar Knolls, section of Hanover Township, NJ.

 

A homemaker, Mrs. Orama Acevedo was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She and her late husband Liborio Rosa Galicia had 18 children, and their offspring currently number more than 200 over four generations.

 

Preceded in death by her husband, Liborio; ten of her children; and three siblings; Tomasa is survived by eight children, Eludina Gallo, Maria Rosa, Efrain Rosa, Teodoro Rosa, Emiliano Rosa, Liborio Rosa, Carmen Rosa, and Jose Rosa; as well as countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

 

The viewing and services here in New Jersey will be private. The Funeral Mass and interment will be held in Aguada, Puerto Rico next week.
