Obituary of Paulette C. Slansky

Paulette C. Slansky (nee Richter) passed away suddenly Monday evening, February 6, 2023 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 81. 

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Mrs. Slansky had been a resident of Parsippany Troy-Hills before moving to Boonton 27 years ago. 

Mrs. Slansky graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx, NY and later earned her Associates Degree. 

She had worked as a legal secretary for many years with various law firms,  before retiring in 2009. 

Paulette was a woman of valor and her family was her passion.  She always had a kind word to say. Paulette lived her life on her own terms. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Hyman and Ruth (nee Grossfeld) Richter; she is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Norman A. Slansky; two beloved daughters, Andrea Geiger and her husband Robert of Long Valley , NJ and Yvette Wolter and her husband, Steven of East Stroudsburg, PA.; her dear brothers, Marvin S. Richter and his wife, Virginia of Tuscon, AZ, and Neil B. Richter and his wife, Vivian of Palm Coast Florida; and three cherished grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted privately on Friday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the period of mourning on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, 12-6pm and Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, 12-6pm at the residence of Paulette's daughter, Andrea Geiger, 242 Mission Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.  In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
