Obituary of Jorge Cuan

Beloved Jorge Cuan of Denville, NJ peacefully passed away on March 9, 2023. He was 79 years old.

 

 Born and raised in Granada, Nicaragua, Jorge was also a former resident of Sparta, NJ and Pompton Plains, NJ.

 

Jorge achieved his Master's Degree from Georgia Tech University. He worked as a Global Logistics Executive for Pfizer Pharmaceutical spanning over 30 years.

 

 Jorge is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years Myriam Cuan (Sequeira). Adoring father to daughter Imara Massefski and her husband Scott of Montville, NJ; daughter Carolina Van Winkle and her husband Mark of Sparta, NJ; son Jorge Cuan and his wife Jackie of Pompton Plains, NJ; and daughter Gisselle Billeci and her husband Michael of Denville, NJ. Jorge was a devoted grandfather to Andrew, Sofia, Max, Victoria, Gabriella, Isabella, Mark, Jr., Noah, Gabriela, Ryan, Brody, and Sebastian.

 

Jorge had been predeceased by his daughter Gabriela Maria Cuan. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters.

 

 Jorge, affectionally known as the 'mayor' and 'Papa Cuan,' was a family man in the deepest sense…full of pure love, support, and positive energy. The Patriarch of his family. He was a foodie and loved to attend and coach his children and grandchildren's sports activities. He will be deeply missed.

 

Cremation and services will be held privately.

 

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association as a tribute gift.
