Obituary of Richard J. Faustina

Richard J. Faustina passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday March 26, 2023 at his home in the Pine Book section of Montville Township, NJ.  He was 90.

Born and raised in Garfield, NJ, he had been a resident of Lodi, NJ before coming to Pine Brook in 1965.

Mr. Faustina served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  

He had worked as a millwright with the Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceutical Company of Nutley for 37 years, retiring in 1995.  

A longtime parishioner of St. Pius X. Roman Catholic Church in Montville, Rich was also a member of the church's Knights of Columbus Council, was a lifetime member of the Pine Brook Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Montville Township Seniors. 

Mr. Faustina was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Ann Faustina; and his four siblings, Rose Mazzella, Marie Faustina, William Faustina, and Joseph Faustina.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Priscilla (nee Soranno) Faustina; three loving children, Lisa Schofield of Toms River, NJ, Karen Murphy and her husband, Sean of Dripping Springs, TX, and Michael Faustina and his wife, Karen Lynne of State College, PA; nine cherished grandchildren, Billy, Andrew, Justin, Ryan, Erin, Rebecca and her husband, Griffin, Jackson, Samantha, and Elizabeth; and his beloved nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, March 30, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 31, 10:00am at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Montville. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial gifts to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the St. Pius X Knights of Columbus Council in Dick's memory.
