Obituary of Ann Dorothy Halpin
Ann Dorothy Halpin (nee Basini) passed peacefully away at her home on Friday evening, April 14, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was 89.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she had lived in Woodhaven, NY before coming to Montville Township, NJ 49 years ago. She had been a resident of Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains since 2020.
Mrs. Halpin had worked many years as an administrator with the Montville Township Board of Health before her retirement 27 years ago.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Michael J. Halpin; three loving children, Michael Halpin of Parsippany, Patrick Halpin and his wife, Wendy of Pine Brook, NJ and James Halpin and his wife, Jeanine of Towaco, NJ; and five cherished grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlin, Andrew, Christine, and Thomas Halpin. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elisa (nee Soracchi) Basini, and her three siblings, Mary Lusardi, Lena Basini, and Robert Basini.
At the family's request, funeral services and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, will be held privately. For those so desiring, the family would be most grateful for memorial gifts to the charity of your choice in Ann's memory.
