Obituary of Shirley Jean Goodrich

Shirley Jean Goodrich (nee Yanks), 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, May 16, 2023 at Chilton Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was a resident of Little Falls, before coming to the Pine Brook section of Montville Township in 1969.

Mrs. Goodrich earned her BS in Pharmacy from the Rutgers School of Pharmacy in 1958.

She had worked many years as a pharmacist with Walgreens, most recently in Lincoln Park, NJ, before her retirement 10 years ago.

Mrs. Goodrich was a longtime member of the Montville Township Seniors, where she was currently serving as the group's president.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Goodrich Jr. in 2011; she is survived by her two loving children, Jay Goodrich and his wife, Heather of Alpine, WY, and Dawn Goodrich of Pine Brook, NJ; and two cherished grandchildren, Micah and Jade Goodrich.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, May 25, 2023 11:00am - 1:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12:30pm during the visitation. Cremation will be private. Flowers will be graciously accepted.
