Obituary of Matthew John Nuncio Augustine

Matthew John Nuncio Augustine passed away peacefully Friday, July 7, 2023 at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia following a valiant battle with long term illness. He was surrounded by his loving parents. He was 15 years young.

Born May 23, 2008 in Denville, NJ, Matthew was a lifelong resident of Randolph Township, NJ.

A kind, bright, caring and gentle young man, Matthew was to start 10th Grade at Randolph High School this September.

He loved spending time with his family, friends and pets, and was an avid video gamer. Matthew was also a member of the Randolph High School Marching Band and St Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Succasunna.

Matthew will be missed by his loving parents, Michael P. Sr. and Jill A. (nee Chavanne) Augustine; a dear brother, Michael P. Augustine Jr.; two beloved sisters, Grace Augustine and his twin Hanna Augustine; his paternal grandmother, Florence-Ann Augustine; his maternal grandmother Carole Karsen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, July 13, 2023, 3:33 to 5:33 pm and 6:33 to 9:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha. A celebration of Matthew's Life will be on Friday, July 14, 2023, 10:00am at St Therese Roman Catholic Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876. Cremation will be private.
