Obituary of Hirabhai L. Patel

Hirabhai L. Patel passed away suddenly Monday evening, July 10, 2023 at his Parsippany, NJ home. He was 86.

Born in Dabhali, Gujarat, India, he lived most of his life in India before immigrating to the United States in 1995 and settling with his family in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

Mt. Patel earned his Bachelors Degree in engineering from L.D. Engineering College in Ahmedabad, India.

He was employed as an engineer for the government of India for many years before his retirement.

Hira was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kantaben Patel in 2020. Survivors include his four loving children, Ashok Patel of Franklin Park, NJ, Nalin Patel of Parsippany, NJ, Anju Patel of Parsippany, NJ, and Alka Patel of Mountain Lakes, NJ; two brother and three sisters, all of India; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Puja Service on Thursday, July 13, 11:00am to 12:00pm at the chapel at Rosedale Crematory, 408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ. Cremation will follow immediately.
