Obituary of Francine Paula Brown

Francine Paula Brown (nee Schneider) passed away Thursday evening, July 20, 2023 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She was 64.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Francine had lived in Queens, NY before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany-Troy Hills in 1986.

Mrs. Brown had earned her Bachelor's and Masters Degrees in Education from the Queens College, Queens, NY.

She had worked as an educator with Passaic Board of Education, Passaic, NJ for eighteen years before her recent retirement earlier this year. Previously, she had worked as a pre-school teacher at Morris Plains Country Day School in Morris Plains, NJ.

Mrs. Brown was a longtime member of the former Lake Hiawatha Jewish Center and the Pine Brook Jewish Center of Montville. She had served as the Nursey School Chairperson and the Education Chairperson.

Preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (nee Umles) Schneider; Francine is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Keith Ian Brown; two beloved daughters, Sharon Skibitski and her husband, Rich of Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Melissa Rosen and her husband, Adam of Bedminster, NJ; her dear father, Irving Schneider of Wayne, NJ; two sisters, Ellen Shelsky and her husband, Malcolm of Parsippany and Marilyn Schneider of Queens, NY; and four cherished grandchildren, Sophie and Patrick Skibitski and Shayna and Ariella Rosen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Sunday, July 23, 11:00am at the S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. (The family will receive guests beginning at 10:00am.) Interment will follow at Pine Brook Jewish Cemetery, Montville.
