Obituary of Hiralal S. Chokshi

Hiralal Shankarlal Chokshi passed away Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023 at the Lakeland Health Care Center in Haskell, Wanaque Township. He was 97.

Born in Dholka, Gujarat, India, he immigrated to the United States settling with his family in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany-Troy Hills. He subsequently lived in Flanders, NJ, before coming to Haskell 2 years ago.

Mr. Chokshi had been a business owner and merchant dealing in Gold and Silver while living in India. He retired many years ago.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 77 years, Jasumatiben H. Chokshi (nee Shah); his five loving children, Lata Parikh and her husband, Gunvant of Flanders, Jitendra Chokshi and his wife, Sudha of Mahwah, Malti Biscuitwala and her husband, Bipin of Sunnyville, CA, Anita Parikh and her husband, Nipun of Rockaway, NJ, and Hitesh Chokshi and his wife, Hina of Parsippany; his nine grandchildren, Nilang and Abhishek Parikh, Keyur and Parag Chokshi, Kanak Biscuitwala, Mansi, Khushali, and Siddharth Parikh, and Parth Chokshi; and his four great-grandchildren Sia and Ayush Parikh, Veera Biscuitwala, and Anaya Iqbal.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, 12:00 to 1:00pm at the Chapel at Rosedale Crematory, Orange. Cremation will immediately follow.
