Obituary of Michael Nickelson

Michael Nickelson passed away Monday evening, October 9, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. He was 68.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Mr. Nickelson immigrated to the United States in 1986. He had been a longtime resident of Randolph before returning to Bucharest, Romania 6 years ago.

A mechanical naval engineer, Mr. Nickelson had earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in while in Romania. In the states, he had worked as an engineer with the Marck Pharmaceutical Company before his retirement.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Dimitru and Elena Niculae. He is survived by two daughters, Ferian Nickelson of Chicago. IL, and Antoinette Pollack of Denver, CO.; his sister, Georgeta Bronson of Bucharest, Romania, and four grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, October 11, 6-8pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 11:00am at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 120 Dover-Chester Road, Randolph, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
