Father Simon was my mom’s cousin. I remember when he would visit when we were young, and how his dry humor and sly smile would make my mom laugh. They would visit and laugh for hours. Simon’s humor was a family trait, shared by his sister Fran, and cousins Maureen and Danny. We see it still today in my cousins.
Simon supported my mom when she was ill, and led the funeral services for my mom when she left us- all too soon in 1998. We lost touch after and are comforted to learn that Simon is now with his parents, sisters and extended family in heaven.
