Obituary of Anthony Sanzone

Anthony Sanzone, 84, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023 at his home in Denville in the presence of his family.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, he had been a resident of Parsippany for 50 years before moving to Denville five years ago.

Dr. Sanzone earned his BS from Fordham University, his MS from NYU, and his PhD in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology.

He was a university Professor of Mathematics and the proprietor of Sanzone Associates, a computer software company in Montville for 20 years.

He was an avid reader, with an insatiable intellectual curiosity. Each week he would meet with the "Knights" discussing diverse philosophers. He loved to travel and visited numerous countries learning about their cultures . However, his most cherished moments were spending time with his close knit family.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy; his four beloved sons, Anthony and his wife, Sheila, John and his wife, Kyle, Christopher and his wife, Erin, and Michael his husband, Mark; a brother, Ronald and a sister, Jeanne; 10 grandchildren, Kaelin, Bryan, Bridget, Kaitlin, Erin, Andrew, Christopher, Lauren, Antonia and Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Avery.

Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2023, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 16, 2023, 11:00am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Denville, NJ.
