Obituary of Patricia Ann Bartle

Patricia A. Bartle passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 25, 2024 at the Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna, NJ, surrounded by dear friends. She was 83.

Miss Bartle was born in Superior, WI, and raised in Deluth, MN. She had lived in Springfield, IL, Parsippany, NJ and Totowa, NJ before coming to Merry Heart in 2023.

Pat had been a Religious Sister with the Dominican Order of Springfield, IL for 26 years.

She earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA; her Masters Degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and her Doctorate in Liturgy from the Lutheran Northwestern University Seminary at St. Paul, MN.

She had served as a worship director for the Diocese of Paterson, NJ and as a liturgist with St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Parish in Parsippany, NJ before retiring to St. Joseph's Home in Totowa, NJ in 2018.

Preceded in death by her parents, Eldred and Doris (McDonald) Bartle; an infant brother, William Bartle; and a sister, Joanne Regner, Pat is survived by two nieces, Connie Grandy of Robbinsville, MN and Cheri Jackson of St. Paul, MN; and a host of friends from the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle in Parsippany, where she had also been an active parishioner.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany on Monday, January 29, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am in the parish church. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Peter the Apostle Church in Pat's Memory.
