Obituary of Jerome Gorcica

Jerome "Jerry" Gorcica, 90, of Pine Brook, NJ passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville following an extended illness. He was 90.

Born in Passaic, NJ, he had lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to the Pine Brook section of Montville Township over 55 years ago.

A PGA Golf Professional, Jerry had served as the Pro at various Golf clubs in New Jersey throughout his tenure including Galloping Hills in Kenilworth, NJ, Alpine Country Club, Demarest, NJ, Picatinny Golf Club of Dover, NJ and most recently, Golf World in Pompton Plains, NJ before his retirement several years ago. He was also the owner of the JG Golf and Tennis Shop in Boonton, NJ for many years.

He was a lifetime member of the Professional Golf Association.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Gorcica; and two brothers Louis and William Gorcica; Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Roberta Wilson-Gorcica (nee Hennessey); a beloved son, Glen Gorcica and his wife Jane of Las Vegas, NV; and a step-daughter, Roberta Sue Wilson and her husband, Tom Divine of Oradell, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha on Thursday morning, Feb. 15, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church Parsippany. Entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Woodbridge.
