Obituary of Rudolf Dimmelmeier Sr.

Rudolf Dimmelmeier Sr. (Rudy) passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. He was 80.

Born in Augsburg, Germany, Mr. Dimmelmeier immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 and settled with his family in Union City, NJ. He had been a resident of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ for 50 years.

Mr. Dimmelmeier was the superintendent of the Dartmouth Village Apartments in Parsippany for over 30 years before his retirement 10 years ago. Previously he was a dye mixer with Union Textiles in Secaucus, NJ.

Rudolf was preceded in death by his beloved son, Rudolf Dimmelmeier, Jr. in 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol A. (nee Henke) Dimmelmeier; his two cherished daughters, Karen Walker and her husband, Scott of Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Erika Rauh and her husband, Dan of Parsippany, NJ; and six dear grandchildren, Ryan Dimmelmeier, Katie Walker, Ashley Walker, Dustin Kulyeshie, Kendra Kulyeshie, and Dani Rauh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, April 28, 2024, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The Funeral Service will be celebrated Monday, April 29, 2024, 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cresthaven Memorial Park, Clifton, NJ.
