Obituary of Gloria M. Valentin

Gloria M. Valentin, (nee Muniz) passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, May 20, 2024 at her home in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany. She was 89.

Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, she had lived in New York, NY before coming to Parsippany in 1966. She began living with her daughter in Lake Hiawatha in 2002.

Mrs. Valentin had been a machinist with the William Steinen Manufacturing Co. of Parsippany for 21 years, retiring in 1999.

She was preceeded in death by her loving husband Miguel in 2002, and her siblings, Lucinda Torres, Felicita Muniz, Dorian Muniz, Luis Muniz, and Vicente Muniz.   

Survivors include her beloved children, Miguel A. Valentin, Jr., and his wife, Lisa of Azle, TX, Cynthia M. Valentin of Philpsburg, NJ, and Michele A. Valentin of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; and her two cherished grandchildren, Alicia White and her husband, Dan, and Stefan Valentin. Gloria will also be missed by her "furry grandchildren," Annie and Remi Valentin. 

Family and friends are welcome to attend the Visitation on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 2-4 & 7-9pm at SJ Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 10:00am in the funeral home. The Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
