Obituary of Salvatore Impenna

Salvatore Impenna passed into the arms of the angels on Monday morning, June 10, 2024 at his Denville, NJ home following a brief illness in the presence of his family. He was 85.

Born in Flushing, Queens, NY, he was a resident of Corona, Queens, NY for many years before coming to Denville, NJ in 1998.

Salvatore served in the United States Navy during peacetime.

A cement mason by trade, Mr. Impenna had worked in construction with the Local 780 in Queens, NY for many years, before retiring 23 years ago.

Preceded in death by his loving son, John Impenna; and his brother, Nicholas Impenna; Salvatore is survived by his beloved daughter, Linda A. Parrinello and her husband, Salvatore Parrinello of Denville; his dear sister, Marie Levy of New York; his cherished grandson, Salvatore Parrinello of New York, NY, and his fond daughter-in-law, Angela Milch of Montclair, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. The family will gather at the funeral home on Thursday morning, June 13, 2024, 10:00am, before proceeding to the Northern New Jersey Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Sparta for an 11:30am Graveside Service with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://stjude.org) or The Tunnel to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org).
