Obituary of Zumei M. Wang

Zumei M. Wang passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. She was 96.

Born in Shanghai, China, she had lived much of her life there before immigrating to the United States in 1983, settling in Philadelphia, PA. Zumei had been a resident of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ for the last 15 years.

She earned her Bachelors Degree from St. John University in Shanghai, China.

Fluent in English, Mrs. Wang had worked as a librarian and English translator while living in China.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Ji Chen and seven siblings, she is survived by her two loving children, Yin C. Leu and her husband, Liang Leu of Montville, NJ, and Chen Chen and his wife, Xiou Ming of Wayne, NJ, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 16, 2024 2:00pm to 4:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Private cremation will follow at Locust Hill crematory, Dover, NJ.
