Obituary of Rose Marie Sirianni

Rose Marie Sirianni (nee Masiello), lovingly known as "Cookie" passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was 85.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Rose Marie married her love, Donald F. Sirianni on April 9, 1960. The couple lived in Union City, NJ, Parsippany, NJ, and Rockaway, NJ before moving to Belvidere, NJ 22 years ago.

Mrs. Sirianni had worked as a ward secretary at the former West Essex Hospital in Livingston. She subsequently worked as a secretary at Baldwin Oaks Senior Center in Parsippany and Franciscan Oaks in Denville before her retirement.

She was also a doting wife, mother and grandmother. Her home was a place of love and warmth. Rose Marie and her husband Donald loved to take cruise vacations and visit the casinos in Atlantic City and Pennsylvania. Cookie's favorite slot machine was the "Wheel of Fortune"; she usually walked away a winner thanks to Donald telling her it's time to go.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Donald F. Sirianni in 2021; and her parents, Gerard and Constanza (nee Visceglie) Masiello. She was the last surviving of seven children. She joins her late siblings Frank Masiello, Dominick Masiello, Pasquale Masiello, Frances Dahl, Mary Casino, and Angie Jumper.

Survivors include her three loving children, Donna Ferguson and her husband, Richard of Brick, NJ, Stephen Sirianni and his wife, Lorena of Hackettstown, NJ, and Donald Sirianni and his wife, Tara of Bradenton, FL; five adoring grandchildren, Matthew Ferguson and his wife, Allison, Jessica Rosen and her husband, David, Gabriella Ferguson and her fiancee, Dennis Miller, Alex Sirianni and Kylie Sirianni; and her cherished great-grandson, Dakota "Dootsie" Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, December 6, 2024, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha (Parsippany). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 7, 2024, 11:00am at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Parsippany. Private cremation will follow. Cookie's ashes will be entombed with her husband, Donald at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Rose Marie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://stjude.org) would be greatly appreciated.
