Sister Debbie was our Family Worker Coordinator from Ironbound Community Corporation. She really advocated for the Family Workers as a group. She will forever be in my heart

I was two years ahead of Deborah at St James High School and then she joined me at the College of St Elizabeth. She was a lovely young woman, and I am so impressed with the exemplary life she led, serving God and her fellow man so well.
RIP.

Deborah was a vidal piece of the Class of 1968 at St. James High School, Carney's Point, NJ. Back then, you knew she was a leader, a role model and intelligent caring person. After reading her Obit, she should be considered for Sainthood.
Debbie is a True Spartan and a Saint James HS Hall of Famer.

So much can be said for my sister Debbie. Even at an early age she was creative and to a point fearless. She was a people person. She was on the debate team in high school and expressed herself well.
She took on social causes early working with the agencies helping the migrants that were brought up to harvest the tomato crop in south Jersey.
She astounded me with the dedication she put into each of the endeavors you see that are listed in her obituary.
Unfortunately, life had geographically separately us but we spoke fairly often and used each other as sounding boards on many issues. From time we did to get to visit each other. Once we joined her on her sabbatical in Ireland and toured the land of our heritage. On another trip we visited her in Newark where she was named the Deputy Grand Marshal of the Newark NJ St. Patrick’s Day parade.
She loved the Sisters of Charity Community who enriched her life tremendously.
I will always remember my teachers saying you need to be more like your sister.

I'm so sorry to hear. Debbie and I went to St. James and St. Elizabeth's together. ( I was a year ahead of her). We were good friends and even in the Forensics Club in high school on the debate team. Spent many a Saturday together at competitions. Lots of fun and a beautiful, caring person. My sincere sympathies to her family and to the Sisters of Charity community. She was an amazing woman and may she rest in the arms of Our Lord.

St Deborah was my cousin whom I loved have her come to visit her Mothers family in Iowa. My Mother & her Mom were sisters. They occasionally would come to Iowa to visit as we were children & grew into adults. Deborah always made an effort to come to Iowa to see her family. We had an aunt whom was the only living sibling of the family of 10 children & in 1980 there we approximately 20 cousins who came back to Iowa to celebrate our Aunts 80th birthday & reconnect. It was such a wonderful time of reconnecting. Deb always made an effort to connect w us & in the early 90s we returned the favor traveling to New York once again she found time to meet up w us. Although we didn’t see each other often in the last few years I was very sorry to hear of her passing. Thoughts, prayers & much love to all who had the opportunity to be in her presence in her lifetime & will miss her. Iowa Cousin , Lynette
