Obituary of Marvin M. Rosen
Marvin Murray Rosen passed away Saturday evening, December 14, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. He was 94.
Born and raised in Passaic, NJ, he had been a resident of Parsippany – Lake Hiawatha for better than 60 years.
Marvin was a graduate of Passaic High School and subsequently earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from New York University.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War before his honorable discharge in 1954.
Mr. Rosen was the founder and owner of Mercury Plastics in Passaic where he worked for 58 years before his retirement in 2020.
He was a member of many local organizations and was an avid golfer until he reached his mid-80s,a high scoring bowler until his 70s and a corvette enthusiast until he reached age 90.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Saundra (nee Alperin) Rosen; a son, Stuart and his wife Judith of Towaco, NJ; a daughter, Charlene Rosenbloom and her husband, Ira of Blue Bell, PA; a sister Ruth Mazart of Boynton Beach, Florida; and his grandchildren Jared & Sydnie Rosenbloom, Chelsey & Matt List, Kloe Rosenbloom, Mia Rosen and Sophia Rosen and his 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Freda Rosen; and a brother, Donald Rosen, of blessed memory.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Pine Brook Jewish Cemetery, 83 Windsor Drive, Montville, NJ where graveside services will be held at 1:30pm under the direction of Rabbi Cantor Menachem Toren.
