Leonard "Lenny" Chill peacefully passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022. He was 86. Lenny was the son of the late David and Ruth Chill. Born in Krakow, Poland, Lenny grew up in Newark then later moved to Parsippany where he and his family were longtime residents. He graduated from Weequahic High School then later earned his Bachelors and Masters from Montclair State University. Lenny started his teaching career in New York City, shortly thereafter his teaching career took off at East Side High School in Newark. There he was a Senior Class Advisor and a track coach. Lenny was loved by his fellow teachers, staff, and students. Following retirement, Lenny stayed active by starting his own driving business "Lean on Len". He also loved to travel the world with his wife, including trips to Europe, Hawaii, multiple cruises, and many trips to Atlantic City. Lenny is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Barbara (nee: Meyer). Beloved father to his daughters Debbie Cohen and Wendy Chill. Lenny delighted in being grandpa to Ben Cohen. He will be deeply missed by a multitude of family members, friends, coworkers, students, and anyone who had the joy of knowing him. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 24th from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at S. J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 N. Beverwyck Rd. Lake Hiawatha. Entombment to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
