I shall miss my brother-in-law in his expensive white sneakers made in China that looked more like ballet slippers. I would kid him mercilessly and he would only laugh. We had many good times together, be it New York City, Florida, or Cape Cod. He loved good company and good food. Talented and resourceful, he had a great entrepreneurial mind always working to invent another product for QVC with many being great successes.
Golf was one of his passions, as was cooking. We would share recipes and he gave me good instructions on how to color Carol's hair. He loved sleek looking cars and one of his favorites was a 1988, Jaguar coupe that he had for many years. Far from being an ornithologist, he loved the many birds that would appear in his backyard and he kept his bird feeder filled and the squirrels at bay.
A big fan of the NFL, you could find him most fall afternoon in front of the T.V. Once summer rolled around, you could find him floating on a raft in the backyard pool. He could tolerate many hours in the sun, thanks to his Bedouin heritage. I would kid him that he was my only Arab brother-in-law married to a Jewish Princess and he treated Barbara like a princess.
Carol and I shall miss him but cherish the many great memories. May his spirit live on in all who knew and loved him.

I am lighting a candle in loving memory of my truly amazing step-father Robert Fadil. I am so lucky to have had you as such a big part of my life. I thank you for being such a great step-father to me and to my brother Adam. I thank you for being such a great father-in-law to my husband Robert and I thank you for taking such good care of my Mother and for being such a wonderful husband to her. I'll always think of all the fun times we've all had together, all the laughing we did together, all those delicious meals you always cooked for all of us...no one can top your cooking! I always loved your great sense of humor and how your presence always lit up the room. I'll always picture your smiling face and hear your laughter. I love you Robert and I miss you!

A wonderful man, he treated me as if I were his own son. His influence helped me become the man I am today. His absolute love and devotion for my mother and sister gave me the piece of mind that they would always be safe, when I moved away. I will miss his great sense of humor, his amazing cooking skills and most of all the fun times we all had together. I consider myself fortunate to have been part of his life, he will always be a big part of mine.
