Aunt Rose,
Thank you for the lifetime of memories. So many memories I could spend hours writing about them. When any of us kids would get out of line we always knew you would be right there to reprimand us. Whether we were going down the stairs in a laundry basket in Pennsylvania, pretending to be pro wrestlers in the basement, or up to no good in the backyard, we knew it was only a matter of time until one of us got disciplined. As the matriarch of the family you kept us all in line. More importantly though as a matriarch you were a mother to us all. You always opened your home to us and enjoyed hosting us all in the country for holidays. You helped us understand what it meant to be a close family. You knew when to be tough but you loved even harder. There was never a time that you didn't smile when the family was together. You always wanted to make sure we all had full bellies, clean clothes, and were enjoying ourselves. Whenever you were cooking, I always knew we were going to enjoy a feast. I could never thank you for the memories and love that we received both in Brooklyn and Pennsylvania. Enjoy the party up there with your siblings and I know you will be keeping us all in line down here. I love you.
Joseph

Dearest Mom,
For my entire adult life, you’ve been my second Mother, and for the past 2 ½ years, have been my only Mother. You welcomed me into your family as your daughter long before I married your son.
As a young adult, and even into motherhood, you taught me what it meant to turn boys into men, as I watched you sternly, yet lovingly, have a hand in raising ALL of your boys, Guy, Michael, Neil, Alan, Nicholas, Daniel, AJ, Neilie & Matty. You showed your love through guidance and determination, and of course, every special gathering and the sharing of great food.
Thank you for teaching me your favorite recipes. You taught me that there’s no such thing as a small party.
I will always consider myself blessed for having been brought into the fold of your generous family circle, from day one, as one of your own. A lifetime of fond memories will be carried with me until I once again see you, my Father-in-Law, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who have journeyed to everlasting peace.
I know that you are now hand-in-hand with the loving husband you’ve missed for so long. You did things your way right to the end, and for that you will always be admired and remembered. You will be missed.
With Love, Carmela

Rose's enthusiasm and love for her family was awe inspiring. A true matriarch, her personality was always larger than life. I remember her smile, her contagious laugh and energy. Rest in peace, beautiful Rose. You have certainly left your mark here.
Love, Gilda and John Notar-Francesco
