Goodbye, sir. My friend. My colleague. My mentor. You changed my life. You saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. I made money because of you that helped me live when I was single and broke. Money that helped me pay my rent when my day job wasn’t cutting it. Helped me serve the community. Helped me buy my house and buy food for my family. Pay my student loans and live a life in this world. That opportunity you gave me helped me live a fulfilled, joyful, artistic life because I had the cushion to do so. Between the two of us, we probably tutored 10,000 kids - with you doing the vast majority of that number. I learned how to be a teacher because of you. I was able to leave my old job and become a real teacher because I was able to tutor with you for 17 years. I hope you are at peace and I hope you are at rest. You earned it. In a world of dishonorable, lazy people, you were a genuine original. A good person. A great man.
