My husband and I met Gloria in 1972. We were celebrating our purchase of our house in Montville. Surprisingly, Ernie and Gloria were on a date at the same bar on Passaic Valley Road that night.
My husband recognized Ernie from Clifton High School and the drugstore we used while living in Little Falls.
We were all surprised when we became neighbors not too long after that meeting.
Over the years we would see each other in town and then I connected with Gloria, her son John DeYoung and the Pizza family on occasion through our children. Recently I would see them at the Senior House.
